DanDaLion's Christmas Message

Not many of us have the privilege of experiencing 19 Christmases through our child's eyes. Nor do many fathers get to play Santa Claus 19 times in a row for their son.

Every year DanDaLion, the now physical 19 year old, reminds us of the special magic of Christmas, through his childlike countenance. He takes us back to a time when we too were children, the sparkle of anticipation in his eyes around upcoming events, matched only by the glistening of tinsel, and the radiance of a beautifully decorated tree.

As parents, the pleasure of receiving gifts in our own childhood is outranked by seeing the unbridled joy from those of innocence having their turn at discovery around the tree on Christmas morning.  

This is the gift DanDaLion has been giving us for 19 years now and we are so grateful for it.

The mane message DanDaLion delivers through all of this  though comes as a challenge. He asks us to see Christmas through his eyes? He asks us to regain our childlike qualities at Christmas time, no matter what our physical age, or our different abilities (Diffabilities). Be swept up in and cherish moments that will become your precious memories. Love giving, and give lovingly. When you unwrap a gift, do it with a five year old's anticipation. Let your heart guide your feelings, let the joy on your face send a message of thanks.
